Boy's Brigade - Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur

The Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur witnessed a spectacular celebration on November 4, Saturday, as the 12th Kuala Lumpur Boy’s Brigade commemorated their annual Founder’s Day.
The day commenced with an impeccable opening ceremony marked by the precision and alignment of all participating companies, highlighting a commendable display of discipline and organization. The highlight of the ceremony was the harmonious singing of Negaraku and the Anchor song, with all attendees joining in unison, fostering a sense of unity among the companies.
Later, the Boy’s Brigade performed a drill to welcome esteemed VIPs. Following this display, the VIPs engaged in a talk where they shared their personal experiences and memories from their time in the Boy’s Brigade. The event culminated with the VIPs extending a warm welcome to the new Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), marking the beginning of their journey in leadership roles within the Brigade.
The event was marked by various activities, including a design contest and an enthralling video presentation that captivated the audience. Furthermore, the worship session proceeded seamlessly according to plan, followed by our offertory where participants efficiently passed the collection bags.
The awards presentation was a momentous occasion, with deserving individuals marching proudly onto the stage to receive their honours. The atmosphere, though spirited, remained orderly, with cheers and excitement confined to companies whose members were being recognized.
Amidst the day’s events, a captivating sermon by Pastor left a lasting impression, followed by an enjoyable game that elicited laughter and camaraderie among all participants. Despite some rearrangement required after the game, order was swiftly restored, ensuring an organized conclusion to the proceedings.
The conclusion of the event saw a dignified salute row by row as we had our march out of colours, followed by a solemn closing prayer where all attendees bowed their heads in reverence.
The photo session captured the camaraderie and joy of the day, with attendees socializing on stage and capturing moments with friends, displaying the vibrant spirit of the Boy’s Brigade. Lunch was served systematically, with companies taking turns to collect their meals.
The festivities did not conclude with the ceremonial events. In an inspiring show of community engagement, students received a briefing from Mr. Volter and embarked on a collective effort to clean their surroundings, braving the rain to collect trash. Upon their return, the collected trash was weighed, emphasizing their commitment to environmental responsibility.
With the day ending, students retired to their dorms, tidying up after an eventful day filled with celebration and community involvement.
The Founder’s Day celebration at Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur’s Boy’s Brigade was an embodiment of discipline, camaraderie, and community engagement, leaving a mark of inspiration and achievement for all involved.
